What Are Prep Packs?

A Prep Pack is an auto-generated quiz built from the documents in one of your Notebooks. Tesseract reads your material, writes questions across several formats, grades your answers, and gives explanations. You can also export a quiz as a printable PDF.

Quizzes live inside notebooks — look for the Prep Packs section in a notebook’s documents panel.

Creating a Quiz

From a notebook’s Prep Packs section, start a new quiz. Pick a preset or customize it.

Presets

Customize

• Number of questions — 3 to 30
• Difficulty — Easy, Medium, Hard, or Mixed
• Question types — any combination of: multiple choice, True/False, fill-in-the-blank, short answer, matching, open-ended
• Focus topic (optional) — narrow the quiz to a specific subject
• Custom prompt (advanced, optional) — extra instructions for the generator, e.g. “emphasize calculations” The quiz is written in the same language as your source material. Generation takes a short while; status updates from Generating to Ready.

Taking a Quiz

• Questions are presented one at a time with a progress bar.
• Navigate with Prev / Next, or use the keyboard: arrow keys to move, number keys for multiple-choice options, T / F for True/False.
• On the last question, Submit — you’ll get a warning if you skipped anything.

Results & Review

After submitting:

• A score gauge shows your percentage, with a breakdown of correct, partial credit, and incorrect answers.
• Filter the review by All / Wrong / Partial / Correct, or jump straight to Review Wrong.
• Each question expands to show your answer, the correct answer, grader feedback, and an explanation.
• Retry starts a fresh attempt; your previous attempt’s summary stays visible.

Exporting to PDF

From the quiz screen, use Export PDF. Two toggles:

• Answer key — include the correct answers (on by default)
• QR code — add a QR code that links back to the online quiz (on by default) Handy for printing a worksheet or sharing a quiz with a study group.
