Plans

Tesseract offers two tiers:

Upgrading to Plus

  1. Open Settings (gear icon in the sidebar).
  2. Go to the Billing tab.
  3. Click Upgrade (or Upgrade to Plus at the bottom of the tab).
  4. You’ll be redirected to a secure Stripe Checkout page.
  5. Enter your payment details and complete the purchase.
  6. You’ll be redirected back to Tesseract with your plan activated immediately.

Free trial: First-time subscribers receive a 14-day free trial — you won’t be charged until the trial ends.


Promo Codes & Discounts

If you have a promo code, you can apply it during checkout:

  1. On the Stripe Checkout page, look for the “Add promotion code” field.
  2. Enter your code and click Apply.
  3. The discount will be reflected in the total before you pay. Discounts can be:
  • Percentage off (e.g., 20% off)
  • Fixed amount off (e.g., $5 off) They may apply once (first payment only), for a set number of months, or forever.

Once active, your discount details appear under your plan name in the Billing tab — for example: LAUNCH20 — 20% off for 3 months.

Tip: Check the top of the chat screen for a promotional banner — if one is active, you can copy the code directly from there.


Viewing Your Current Plan

Open Settings → Billing to see:

  • Plan name — Free or Plus
  • Subscription status — Active, Trialing, Past Due, etc.
  • Renewal date — When your current billing period ends
  • Active discount — Any promo code or coupon currently applied

Managing Your Subscription

Plus subscribers can manage their subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Click the Manage button next to your plan.
  3. You’ll be redirected to the Stripe portal where you can:
  • Update your payment method
  • View past invoices and download receipts
  • Cancel your subscription
  • Update your billing information
  1. After making changes, you’ll be redirected back to Tesseract.

Cancellation

To cancel your Plus subscription:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing and click Manage.
  2. In the Stripe portal, click Cancel plan.
  3. Your Plus benefits will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  4. After the period ends, your account will be downgraded to the Free tier.
⚠️

Note: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing cycle. You will not be charged again, and you’ll keep Plus access until the period expires.


Failed Payments

If a payment fails (e.g., expired card):

  1. Your subscription status changes to Past Due.
  2. You’ll have a grace period to update your payment method.
  3. Update your card via Settings → Billing → Manage.
  4. If the payment issue isn’t resolved within the grace period, your account will be downgraded to the Free tier.

Keep your payment method up to date to avoid service interruptions. You can update it anytime through the Stripe Customer Portal.
